Al-Hikma University is one of the components of the Al-Hikma Educational Institution, which was established in Dhamar Governorate in 2004. It consists of:
Al-Hikma University: Licensed by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in 2008.
University Institute: Licensed by the Ministry of Public Health and Population in 2004.

Center - Dhamar: 2004.
Sana'a Branch: 2006 AD.
Taiz branch: 2008 AD.
The official opening of the Al-Hikma Educational Foundation took place on the seventeenth anniversary of the Yemeni unity, May 30, 2007 AD. The Prime Minister, Dr. Ali Muhammad Mujawar, the Speaker of the House of Representatives Sheikh Yahya Al-Ra’i, and some leaders in the state and the leadership of the governorate made the official opening of the Al-Hikma Educational Foundation, among a number From investment projects in Dhamar Governorate.
Study system at the university:
Independent semester system (two semesters per year) and each course has a number of academic hours.
University centers:
University Center for Training and Rehabilitation (vocational and community courses in several fields).
Al-Hikma Center for Technical Studies and Consultations.
Academic Programmes
Al-Hikma University - Al-Hawban awards a bachelor's degree from three colleges:
- Faculty of Medical Sciences: (Medicine - dentistry - Pharmaceutical Sciences - Medical Laboratories - General Nursing).
- Faculty of Science and Engineering: (Computer Science and Information Technology - Communications and Networks Engineering - Architectural Engineering - Civil Engineering).
- Faculty of Administrative Sciences and Consensus: (Accounting - Business Administration - Service Sharia - English Language and Translation - Information Systems Management).
Degree granted: Bachelor's degree
Admission Requirements: Must have a high school diploma
