Al-Hikma University was established in 26/7/2008 AD, as the university focused on modern knowledge and skills, and scientific research methodology. It has worked to provide the services and facilities necessary to activate university life in its academic, cultural, sports, and social fields, and to provide Internet service for its students, as well as competitive scholarships for successful students.
The university includes three faculties:
The College of Medical Sciences includes the following departments: (Medicine - Dentistry - Pharmaceutical Sciences - Medical Laboratories - Nursing, and Community Health).
The College of Science and Engineering includes the following departments: (Computer Science and Information Technology - Communications and Network Engineering - Architectural and Civil Engineering).
The College of Administrative and Human Sciences includes the following departments: (Accounting - Business Administration - Sharia and law - English language and translation - Media and Public Relations - Marketing - information systems ).
The university includes the Department of Development and Quality Assurance and a number of specialized centers such as the Community Service Center and the Computer and Language Center. The university has signed many cultural and scientific agreements with some universities and institutions in order to strengthen cooperation and exchange experiences and visits.
The university is also an active member of the Association of Yemeni Universities. As it is interested in supporting scientific research, fulfilling and developing it. The university also has a library that includes many volumes, books, periodicals, pamphlets and scientific journals, which cover all disciplines taught at the university.
